Summary: WP: Mike Weber 9IP 2r 5h 7k 9bb LP: Todd Robinson 9IP 6r 15h 5k 1bb Brewers highlights: Greg Pohlkamp 3-4 bb, run Tyler Stein 1-4 sac, run Anthony Turk 3-5 rbi, run Jerron Boser 2-5 dbl, run Mike Weber 2-5 2 rbi, run Dylan Kummet 1-3 sac, rbi, run Eric Boser 2-4 dbl, rbi Alvin Kimman 1-4 rbi Billygoats highlights: Corey Egan 1-4 bb, run Todd Robinson 1-3 bb, rbi, run John Kahl 1-4 Mark Kahl 1-3 rbi Warren Gall 1-2 2bb The Pierz Brewers eliminated the Buckman Billygoats from the East Division playoffs Saturday with a 6-2 win.  The Goats led 2-0 as Mark Kahl singled in a run in the 2nd inning and Todd Robinson collected an rbi single in the 3rd.  Pierz got on the board in the top of the 4th as Dylan Kummet and Alvin Kimman had 2-out rbi singles to tie the game at 2-2.  The Brewers took the lead on Eric Boser's rbi double in the 6th, making it 3-2.  It styaed that way until the 9th, when Pierz strung together 5 straight 2-out hits to plate 3 runs to make the final 6-2.  Anthony Turk drove in a run and Mike Weber added a 2-run hit to cap the scoring.  Mike Weber went all 9 innings for Pierz, and worked around 9 walks.  He didn't not allow a run after the 3rd inning, and allowed no hits after Warren Gall's 1-out single in the 4th.  He struck out 7 and retired 15 of the final 18 men he faced.  With the loss, #2 seed Buckman is eliminated, while #3 seed Pierz advances to play at Lastrup Sunday (7/25/10) for the East title.  The Brewers would need to beat the Lakers twice to win the crown.   Pierz also clinched a spot in next weekend's Region 8C tournament.
