Ripley Rebels captured the North Division Playoff Pennant with an 8-2 win over Brainerd Sunday.  The Rebels built an early lead on a 2-run single by Nic Jelacie in the 1st, added a run in the 2nd, Jason Sather doubled in 2 runs in the 3rd to make it 5-0, and then Andy Waletzko and Brett Kramer hit back-to-back run scoring doubles in the 4th to make it 7-0.  Jamie Ladouceur hit a solo homer for the braves in the 5th and each team added 1 more run to make the final 8-2.  Ethan Branum went 5 innings for the win and Josh Haberman and Brett Kramereach worked 2 innings of relief.  After the game, Ft. Ripley drafted Brad Waytashek of St. Mathias, Brainerd selected Dan Rocheleau of Harding, the Rebels took Bill Aamondt of St. Mathias and Brainerd took Curt Caughey of Harding with the final pick.  Brainerd plays Sobieski at 11:00 am next Saturday in Pierz while Ft. Ripley will take on Royalton at 1:30 in the first round of the Region 8C Tournament.
