The Fort Ripley Rebels won an 11-4 decision over the St. Stephen Steves at Trobec Memorial Field on Saturday.  The Rebels broke open a close game with a huge 6-run top of the 7th.  The Steves scored twice in the bottom of the 1st on rbi singles from Riley Hartwig and Nick Krippner to grab a 2-0 lead.  In the top of the 4th, the Rebels got on the board against Steves starter Riley Hartwig when Brett Kramer walked, Jason Sather singled and Bill Sather was hit by a pitch to load the bases.  An Ethan Branum sacrifice fly brought in Brett Kramer to make it 2-1.  Fort Ripley then grabbed the lead with 2 runs in the top of the 5th.  With 2 outs, Zach Heidmann doubled, Brett Kramer walked and after a double steal, a single by Jason Sather drove in both runs to make it 3-2 Rebels.  The Steves responded with a 2-run bottom of the 5th to regain the lead.  Riley Hartwig and Nick Krippner again would deliver rbi singles to give the Steves a 4-3 lead after 5 innings.  In the top of the 7th, the Rebels plated 6 runs, highlighted by an rbi double by Zach Heidmann, a 2-run single by Bill Sather and a 2-run double by Ethan Branum to make it 9-4.  In the top of the 8th, Rhett Williamson led off with a homer to make it 10-4, then a triple by Brett Kramer and a Steves error brought in Kramer for the final score of 11-4.  Brett Kramer hurled 4 shutout innings in relief of Ethan Branum to get the Win, allowing just 1 hit while fanning 8.
